All of a sudden, it's almost Halloween! We've had a pretty nice fall up here (in my opinion...I think Andy wishes there were three feet of snow on the ground already). I have some great pictures from September and October to share with you! The beginning of fall saw the Naylor household (ok, just Olive) afflicted with hand foot and mouth disease.
Poor Olive was miserable! Not because of the rash so much as the fact that she was stuck in the house for a week and we are SO BORING.
Once that was over, we were free to go outside again, and although it's been a rainy fall, the weather has been mostly cooperative. Not too cold yet!
We've really enjoyed getting out and enjoying all of the colors.
We've taken a lot of long walks along Powerline Pass to look for moose.
Found one! (I think the same one we saw with my parents...definitely in the same spot and he seems huge and territorial).
One day we walked all the way to the bridge that leads to the trail up to hidden lake. So pretty!
You can tell these pictures are a little old because Olive's hair doesn't HAVE to be in a ponytail to be out of her face. Now the pony is mandatory (you'll see in the later pictures).
She really enjoyed practicing her new walking skills!
Later in September we also went up to Hatcher's Pass after it first snowed up there. Ripley loved the snow!
So pretty!
Olive did not love the trip so much.
Though she did enjoy it more when we let her walk.
Not too close to the edge...
Smiles!
We spend a lot of weekend days (when we're not at the pool!) at Kincaid Park where the grass is still green and Ripley can play lots of ball while we walk the trails.
I have about 40 of the next series of picture. I love them. They are some of my favorite pictures I have ever taken of my two favorite people. Look at the joy on her face while she rides on Andy's shoulders!
For some reason she really likes licking the zipper on her jacket...
Ripley loves the park. Look how dapper he is!
At the park we often see moose...
I think this moose is named Melissa, based on the sign.
Speaking of moose, they're also hanging out in our yard! And look what we discovered...
The fence is useless!!
