Seven Weeks - Settled In

Little Missy was seven weeks old yesterday and she's starting to grow into her own little person.  Now that things are settled down around the house, we are settling into a good routine that we (mostly) stick to just about every day.  It's not the most exciting, but I'm sure she finds it thrilling.

We sleep in (usually) and then wake up in a pretty good mood!

I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF HER CRAZY EYE PICTURES
We generally spend some quality time checking out the world in one of her three favorite places:

1. her changing table:

2. her playmat:

She just discovered her tongue recently.  It's pretty much always hanging out of her mouth.
3. her crib:

She loves her mobile!

We also play on the floor of her room a lot.  She cannot hold still these days!

During the day we also take a couple of naps.  She has to be swaddled for her naps or she punches herself in the face while she's sleeping.  Go figure.

Also, she's getting so big! I never notice it because I see her every day, but I have proof! I took pictures of her in the same adorable outfit on July 22 and then yesterday.  Look!

She has grown almost exclusively in length though.  She's so skinny but very very long.  Again, she can't possibly be my daughter.

Okay...I hear someone waking up from her nap.  Time to go!

One Month!

This post is a little overdue, but it's been pretty hectic in the Naylor house (when ISN'T it these days? I feel like this pretty much goes without saying since we have an infant).  On Sunday Andy's mom left us to head back down to Washington, which meant that, for the first time since Olive was born, we were left on our own (cue the ominous music...).  With Andy back at work, I've spent the last couple of days figuring out this whole mom thing on my own without a pair - or two! - of extra hands.  Sometimes just going to the bathroom seems like a harrowing feat, but I think we're getting the hang of things.

On August 1, Olivia turned one month old! We decided to take a picture of her every month with the same stuffed animal to help document her growth.  She seemed particularly taken by the bunny, so it was the winner.  We also dressed her up in her cupcake shirt to mark the occasion.  She can still wear newborn clothes but only tops and pants (not the bodysuits because she's too tall).  She is fitting into 3 month clothes, but the pants fall right off of her - she has the tiniest little butt!

She is doing crazy eyes in every full body picture I took of her with the bunny.  It's a good look.
We have noticed so many changes just in the last few weeks.  Little miss is SO alert - constantly looking around her.

She especially loves faces.

The hair is really starting to match!
She still loves her hands and probably always will.

And Ripley still loves her.  Probably because she is delicious.

It is so fun to watch her grow and become her own little person. Happy One Month "birthday" Miss Olivia!
